Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

You are invited to send your abstract of not more than 500 words to worldphilosophyday2020@aju.ac.zw not later than 30 April 2020. You have to send your abstract on or before the abstract submission deadline.

  • After submission the receipt of the abstract will be acknowledged via an email within three working days.
  • Outcome on submitted Abstracts is expected by the end of May 2020.
  • The primary language of the conference is English, and your submission should be submitted in English.
  • We encourage you to send an informative abstract (complete abstract) which is a compendious summary of the paper’s substance including its background, purpose, methodology, results, and conclusion.
  • Full papers for all accepted abstracts should be submitted by the 31st of July 2020
  • In your abstract, indicate whether you would want to considered as one of the reviewers for the papers submitted for the conference
  • All papers will go through a thorough blinded review process prior to the conference, so that only minor adjustments will be made after the conference to include feedback from participants if necessary.
  • Please send in a brief biography together with the Abstract.
All accepted papers will get a confirmation of acceptance and will be published by a reputable publisher.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca) are activated and ready to click.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed track of the conference, authors' names are removed from submission, with "Author" and year used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of authors' name, paper title, etc.
  7. If submitting to peer review, all Microsoft Office documents (including Supplementary Files) have been saved by going to File and selecting Save As; clicking Tools (or Options in a Mac); clicking Security; selecting "Remove personal information from file properties on save"; clicking Save.

Authors who submit to this conference agree to the following terms:
a) Authors retain copyright over their work, while allowing the conference to place this unpublished work under a Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows others to freely access, use, and share the work, with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and its initial presentation at this conference.
b) Authors are able to waive the terms of the CC license and enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution and subsequent publication of this work (e.g., publish a revised version in a journal, post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial presentation at this conference.
c) In addition, authors are encouraged to post and share their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) at any point before and after the conference.
