MOTIVATED BY IGNATIAN GENEROSITY, AJU STUDENTS DONATE BLOOD

The Arrupe Jesuit University Students’ Association (AJUSA) conducted a Blood Donation Drive on Thursday 17, November 2022 at the Campus. Inspired by the Ignatian generosity that seeks no reward but service, the staff, faculty and students thronged the Loyola multipurpose hall for donation from 1000hrs to 1600hrs. The event was facilitated by the Association’s Welfare and Charity Committee and the University clinic in collaboration with the National Blood Service Zimbabwe (NBSZ).

The samples were carefully sealed after each donation. National Blood Service of Zimbabwe provided juice and biscuits in order to energiser the donors. The donors were happy and content following their donation.

The drive managed to collect 24 units of blood and the team of National Blood Service Zimbabwe thanked all the donors who donated blood for a noble cause. The students had a very positive vibe after donating the blood and were looking forward to the next time.
