Beginner: A1.1, A1.2, A1.3This course is designed for “true” beginners and introduces the basics of English grammar. Students will learn how to introduce themselves and greet others; how to give and understand simple directions; and how to ask and answer specific questions. The course covers numbers, colors personal pronouns, present, past, future tenses, conjugation of verbs and many more.Beginner: A1.4, A1.5, A1.6This course is a continuation of Beginner A1.3. Students enrolling in this course should have a basic knowledge of English (such as the alphabet, numbers, conjugation of verbs in the present tense, and the learning outcomes covered in Beginner A3). Upon completion of Beginner A1.6, students should be able to speak about work, order foods, family, their interests, the weather, and to participate in brief conversations. At this point they should be able to travel to any English city and converse with no difficulties. At this level they can find English speaking friends to improve their speaking.
Intermediate: B1.1, B1.2, B1.3
Students enrolling in this course should be able to communicate in English and must have a general understanding of English grammar (i.e. present, past and future tenses and more). At the end of this course, students will be able to participate in conversations with greater ease. Students at this level will also work at developing their writing skills. In this course the instructor works with students to improve for language components (writing, Reading, Speaking and listening) plus new and useful vocabularies.
Intermediate: B1.4, B1.5 and B1.6
Upon completion of this course, students will have achieved a level at which they feel comfortable and confident enough to participate in conversations and discussions on general topics. Students will also have developed the skills to begin communicating with ease in writing. It will be emphasis on reading comprehension and pronunciation. At this point students are able to communicate in form of writing (Email), answering Telephone with ease, able to distinguish different accents in English.
English Advanced: C1, C2, C3
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social and professional topics. Students will also be able to obtain and analyse information and opinions and will learn how to co-chair meetings and debates. Students will have mastered enough of the language to enable them to perform advanced tasks, such as defend an opinion, deal with hypothetical issues, and discuss complex work related issues.
English Language and Culture
This course is designed for students at an Advanced level to engage in different discussions and debates. The classes will focus on group discussions about history, literature, film and music around the world.
English Advanced II: C4,C5,C6
This is designed for students who have studied English Advanced I or its equivalent. The aim of this course is to improve students’ performance and confidence in their use of English and to master language skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening) to comparable levels. The course is practical and contains a core language component to improve communication in social situations, and it also covers specialized language and topics for specific professional purposes. Students will be able to choose from a range of topics, including media, advertising, communications, ecology, manufacturing, anthropology, religion etc., and students can customize their studies according to their interests.
English writing essay: Level D1.1 – D1.6
This course focuses on grammar and grammatical analysis, and the process of writing. It includes instruction in class and in the Language Lab.
Note: students who have successfully completed the course and passed all exams (Beginner A1.6 or Intermediate B1.6 or Advanced C1.6) will be awarded a certificate of completion.
